A significant challenge with MEDOC v2.4 in the modern era is the operating environment.

MELSEC MEDoc is DOS software. Modern Windows 10 or Windows 11 operating systems do not natively support the direct hardware access (specifically serial port timing and memory addressing) that MEDoc requires. A direct download of the software is useless without an environment to run it.
