The Vishnu Puranam is one of the earliest Puranas, traditionally attributed to the sage Veda Vyasa, who also compiled the Vedas and the Mahabharata. Unlike some other Puranas that focus on multiple deities, the Vishnu Purana is centered exclusively on Lord Vishnu and his various incarnations (Dashavatara).
