The story centers on (Prithviraj Sukumaran), a ruthless and efficient police officer. The film begins with Antony calling his brother-in-law and Commissioner, Farhan Aman (Rahman), to announce he has solved the murder of their mutual friend and colleague, ACP Aaryan John Jacob (Jayasurya). However, before he can name the killer, Antony meets with a nearly fatal accident that leaves him with partial amnesia.
Interestingly, there have been rumors of a direct Tamil remake starring Suriya or Vikram, but none have materialized. Some fans argue that Mumbai Police would be hard to remake in Tamil because its core twist is so specific to the original’s narrative structure.
