Yerai Cortés nació en 1985 en la isla de Lanzarote, Canarias, España. Desde muy joven se interesó por la música y comenzó a tocar la guitarra. A los 12 años, se mudó a Madrid para estudiar en el Conservatorio de Música y Danza de la capital española. Fue allí donde se sumergió en el mundo del flamenco y comenzó a desarrollar su estilo.
