Using Steele’s documentary-style critique, the paper explores how Wonder Woman becomes a battleground for competing claims of “true feminism” — from 1940s Marston-era radicalism to 2010s corporate feminism — and how platforms like Twitter and TikTok “verify” certain interpretations while marginalizing others.
