In the climactic fight, Dutch manages to wound the Predator. Rather than surrender, the creature activates a self-destruct device, laughing as it triggers a massive explosion. Dutch narrowly escapes, emerging from the smoke as the sole survivor of his team to be rescued by a helicopter.

Major Alan "Dutch" Schaefer (Arnold Schwarzenegger) and his team of elite mercenaries are hired by the CIA for a rescue mission in the dense jungles of Central America. Their goal is to save a kidnapped government official from guerrilla forces.
