Legacy versions like Wilcom 2006 often require Service Pack 4 (SP4) to function correctly on Windows 10.
Windows 10 updated its driver architecture. The original Sentinel/HASP drivers from 2006 are incompatible with modern Windows 10 builds. The system no longer recognizes the ancient security key.
Move the dongle to a USB 2.0 port (black plastic) instead of a USB 3.0 port (blue plastic), as older dongles often struggle with newer USB standards.
Ensure the dongle is fully inserted. Test it on another computer to verify the device itself isn't defective.
